Thank you for being here,

My name is Ximena Delgado Paredes. I was born and raised in Mexico City and moved with my family to the United States in 2012.

I hold a BFA in Creative Writing with a double minor in Publishing and Latin American Studies from Emerson College, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University. In 2020, I published my first collection of short stories, Para Curarte. My writing, which spans fiction and creative nonfiction, often explores themes of migration, belonging, and identity. I am developing a novel that fictionalizes an immigrant’s journey across the US-Mexico border.

I am currently working as a Language Assistant in Spain, teaching English to primary school students. My long-term professional goal is to work closely with immigrant communities, fostering spaces where their stories can be shared, preserved, and amplified.

In the works:

If God Carried Water — Novel

Border Narratives — Collection of Short Stories
